A multi-mode concept vehicle for places where roads fail: flooded districts, river deltas, islands and hill terrain.
Use cases
-
Flood and disaster response
Reach cut-off areas when roads are underwater.
How the modes help Drive to the flood edge, float across, fly over debris.
-
Medical and emergency transport
Carry light medical supplies or a single patient across rivers and islands faster than road and boat combined.
How the modes help Road to the shore, water or foil over the river, flight over what is left.
-
River, island and delta connectivity
Serve regions like the Northeast India, the Sundarbans and the Kerala backwaters, where one journey needs road, then boat, then air.
How the modes help One vehicle covers every leg, with no transfers between them.
-
Last-mile light cargo
Small, urgent, high-value parcels such as medicines, spare parts and documents.
How the modes help Take the road where it exists, then switch mode to cross the last gap.
Who it is for
- Disaster agencies
- Health services
- Island and delta communities
- Remote logistics
Why three modes?
Road
Strengths Simple, low-speed travel where roads exist. The wheels double as landing gear.
Limits Stops at flooded or broken roads.
Water · Foil
Strengths Crosses rivers and flooded streets. The foil lifts the hull for efficient cruising.
Limits Needs open water. Debris and rough water restrict use.
Flight
Strengths Bypasses debris, water and terrain in a direct line.
Limits Highest power draw. Short hops only. Weather sensitive.
Not designed for agriculture, heavy freight or long-range travel. Trayan-X is a light, short-hop utility concept.
Design estimates Illustrative figures for a concept. Not measured, not tested.
- Road
- Hub-motor wheels, up to about 40 km/h
- Water
- Wheels retract into the hull; the hull floats
- Hydrofoil
- Lifts the hull at about 7 m/s; cruise on roughly 4 to 8 kW
- Flight
- 8 rotors on 4 folding arms; about 80 kW in hover; 10 to 15 minute hops
